Cusano 18 Double Connecticut Robusto 5×50 Monday, Nov 6 2006

Country: Dominican Republic
Wrapper: Connecticut Shade
Filler: Dominican Long Filler
Size: Robusto 5″x50 ring

I think I’ve come to the conclusion that Cusano cigars are just not for me. Although better than the Corojo, I still found this cigar to be unremarkable. It’s fairly smooth and easy smoking. A bit on the mild side. It is probably a good cigar for someone new to cigars but it doesn’t offer much for me. It is very well made and burned perfectly, I just think the flavor profile of these Cusano cigars don’t suit my palate.

Cusano Corojo 1997 Robusto 5.0×50 Tuesday, Oct 17 2006

Wrapper: Ecuadorian grown Cuban Corojo
Filler: Dominican Long Filler
Size: Robusto 5.0″x50 ring

I found this cigar to be very underwhelming. When I think Corojo, I think of a Camacho and this is no Camacho. I found it to be a little rough with a flat, straight forward tobacco flavor. It was kind of boring and unremarkable. It just doesn’t work for my palate. If you find yourself agreeing with a lot of my past reviews, your palate may be similar. If that’s the case and you want my opinion, save yourself the time and money and try something else. If you just need to smoke a Corojo, stick to the Camacho.
